Yak meat is a rich red meat high in protein and low in fat. When Yak put on fat, the fat does not marble through the meat thus making it a great low fat protein source.
Yak are a wonderful livestock choice. They are efficient with the food they eat, and generally low maintenance.
They are hardy animals with beautiful horns and haircoat. Yak not only produce pleasurable meat to eat, they also produce wool within their haircoat.
Yak wool fiber used for clothing is very warm and breathable.
